Christmas

Christmas,
Christ for the masses
Born to save the perishing world
From her innumerable sins.
The same becomes our replacement;
He is sacrificed for us
So we'd be reconciled to God

Christmas,
Christ among the masses
Showing men the way to live
The lone but bright, shining light
In the thickness of the world’s darkness
He is the Father’s express image
Singled out in the crowd

Christmas,
Christ with the masses
The assurance that brings confidence
God himself standing by men
Comforting and strengthening His people
Backing up the testimony of their faith
Surrounding them with His covering presence

Christmas,
Christ in the masses
Residing in truly penitent hearts
(Of those who actually believe)
Helping contrite men live godly -
Replicating Himself in as many
Producing people of His kind
