Christ the Lord, My Heavenly King

Christ the Lord, my Heavenly King
Source of peace and rest
With gratitude for everything
I promise thee my best

In this, my lowly station
Thy love for me is clear
Thy path is my salvation
Thy word is mine to hear

Thy meek and humble story
Hath won the hearts of men
Through resurrection's glory
Our hope to live again

Thy vision is the flame
That burns away my guilt
Inside thy goodly blame
My love for thee is built

Thou shineth me a light
To help me find my way
My comfort in the night
And dawn of my new day

The follies of the flesh
Are sins I can resist
Each day is new and fresh
To help my faith persist

The knowledge that I can
Is happily my reason
To be the kind of man
Who peaks in every season

Thou blesseth me above
With mercy for my sins
And in thy boundless love
My joy in thee begins

The promise in thy name
Is meant for me to trust
That resurrection's claim
Will lift me from the dust

Thy rock is my foundation
Thy righteousness my sword
The strength of every nation
That seeks to serve the Lord

Thy love for me is pure
Thy word has told me so
That blessings will endure
To help my spirit grow

If thou would have me still
Lead on, thy tender hand
For now I leave my will
To serve at thy command.
