Christ Became Our Curse - Galatians 3: 13
Natural man seeks his own justification
by being obedient to the world of the law
having fallen with Adam in the garden
seeking to keep the law is man's big flaw
God has declared man is under a curse
for no one can perfectly keep His word
as God's justification demands perfection
So trying to keep the law is truly absurd
But God has the answer to man's plight
sending His son Jesus to die in our place
this Jesus came to be our redemption
bringing His mercy and amazing grace
The Holy Scriptures has truly declared
cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree
So Christ fulfilled this by being our curse
redeeming His elect to cast them free
Christ is our curse taking our place
on Calvary's tree so we're now justified
having free access to God's presence
as Jesus, our substitute has died
("Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us as it's written - cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree")
