Chosen Vessel

Jesus said "You did not chose Me, but I chose you
And appointed you to go and bear fruit that will last."
When I heeded His call, I found His Word is true
He took over my heart and to follow Him I must.

The journey was hard, sometimes I would stumble.
But His Spirit within me always carried me on.
In Christ I was the vessel in which He was able
To do what He planned, yes I belonged to the Son!

The devil always pointed out I was not worthy,
That I was flawed and had so many sins.
But God held me up with His loving Mercy
And in all of my battles, the LORD always wins!

I cannot quit nor go back, this trip is just one way,
I've become a servant, a slave of Christ Jesus !
I know whatever comes, whatever people may say -
I'm His treasured possession, His child so precious!

"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in My name the Father will give you."
(JOHN 15:16)

"The One Who calls you is faithful, and He will do it."
(1 Thessalonians 5:24)

"He Who began His work in you will be faithful to complete it."
(Philippians 1:6)

"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
(ISAIAH 41:10)
