Choices and Options

"CHOICES AND OPTIONS"

                                                "SIGHT"
One can open the eyes and choose to see
One can close the eyes and choose not to see
One can open the eyes and choose not to see
One can close the eyes and choose to see

                                                "SENSE"
One can touch and choose to feel
One can feel and choose to touch
One can touch and choose not to feel
One can feel and choose not to touch

                                               "SOUND"
One can listen and choose to hear
One can hear and choose to listen
One can listen and choose not to hear
One can hear and choose not to listen

                                             "HONESTY"
One can nod the head yes and choose to mean yes
One can nod the head no and choose to mean no
One can nod the head yes and choose to mean no
One can nod the no and choose to mean yes

                                             "INSIGHT"
One can be an inch wide and an inch deep
One can be a mile wide and a mile deep
One can be an inch wide and a mile deep
One can be a mile wide and an inch deep

"TO BE OR NOT TO BE"
One can live and be existent
One can exist and be living
One can merely exist and not know living
One can know living rather than merely existing

Very valid spiritual lessons simply put, simply as in beautiful, to the point - a way for honest, pure truth to reach those who as yet do not see, hear, feel or ... realize. I truly like how you did this - I want so much to add 'One can work to live" / "One can live to work" - not that you didn't cover it, I just think some people would benefit from that thought and I tend to talk a lot when no one can see me ... Bye, now ... CayCay !!!

Broken Wings thank you! I remember thinking once that open eyes no more mean one is awake than closed eyes mean they're asleep! Our eyes are open! Your poems are proof of that! Thank you! :-)

Well written Walter! When I first started reading I was thinking of "hear no evil see no evil..." I forgot what the rest of that was I was told that so much as a child.
