Childhood Nostalgia

 
I can still recall my attic room,
where I played with my teddy and dolls;
in my so perfect small girl bedroom,
I loved the floor, windows, and the walls.

Where I played with my teddy and dolls,
I would dream up wild fantasy tales;
I loved the floor, windows, and the walls,
leaving my torment-  I set my sails.

I would dream up wild fantasy tales,
spent long hours in a make believe haze;
leaving my torment- I set my sails,
I let go of all truth and malaise.

Spent long hours in a make believe haze,
in my so perfect small girl bedroom;
I let go of all truth and malaise,
I can still recall my attic room.
