Childhood Is But a Blink of An Eye
(For my twin granddaughters)
In pursuit of life’s perfect dance
Never sombre was your welcome
Tender kiss when leaving at night,
Countless memories; come to light.
Many heady dreams made joyous
In pursuit of life’s perfect dance
With laughing eyes and gambol curls,
This: the golden dawn for my girls.
So soon the seasons in cycle
The distance between us enhance
In pursuit of life’s perfect dance,
Oh a moment; your face to glance.
I’ve seen your loving tenderness
In happy feet given the chance
Gliding across flamboyant stage,
In pursuit of life’s perfect dance!
