Childhood Delicacies
Hot pie crust rolled out practically paper-flat
Sprinkled lavishly with cinnamon and sugar,
Red Kool-aide made with real sugar,
So sweet your teeth can barely stand it,
More cool tasty French onion sour cream dip than chips,
A teensy sliver of a tiny dab of a hotdog in a giant bowl of ketchup that you lick with your finger.
Gobs of hot macaroni and cheese, fresh from a Kraft Boy-R-Dee box,
And peanut butter sandwiches oozing over the edge and onto the counter with grape jelly.
Nothing makes you salivate faster than your childhood delicacies.
