They came across the still blue waters Killed our Braves, Raped our Daughters Slaughtered our food,just for the HIDE Indian's world and white man's Collide Under the full MOON "Chief Koakki" Cried They scar and mar the Southwest Plains Pollute our rivers,while damming the Rains Keep us on reservations with unfettered chains Soldiers : guarding with rifles to keep us inside Under the full MOON "Chief Koakki" Sighed Treaties,Promises,Speeches with forked tongue Teaching these ungodly depravities to our Young The stately NATIVE AMERICANS go UNSUNG Their History,Heritage,in my heart ALWAYS Abide Under the full MOON "Chief Koakki" Died

Still, it will never be the end of indian race, or heritage. no revenge is always the key to peace. comprimise and then maybe use darkness to defeat darkness. in the end. the good never "fully" dies. and Harry.im sorry for taking so long on your contest information. if you have another partner because of my slow replies. i don't blame you.(: and i am not upset. i love you always big bro. -Always&Forever your sister spirit Lynn

Oh, reading this poem breaks my heart deeply. Such an amazing write and terribly sad tribute. As far as comments go, if you want to receive comments, you must comment on other people's poetry. It would be nice to comment on those who ever comment on yours, but there are so many kind poets who would return the favor. Absolutely got chills at the very last line. Horribly sad and disturbing in its truth. Love how the last line in every verse is similar, the very last line of course, so heartbreaking. To this day I feel shame for what we did to a beautiful culture. Wonderful write. Love, Shar
