Chickadee
As one of the feathered fowls* mentioned by the Scriptures
the chickadee is God’s wondrous song bird among fellow creatures
with marvelously melody-producing features
Blessed to triumph along freedom ventures.
Grateful that the Creator upholds its singing delight
beautifying musical roles by His wisdom’s light…
the chickadee is sociable, fun and feisty showing cheer’s might
prevailing with the alarm calls and songs midst blissful flight
Honouring the Designer by its “fee-bee” accent
it displays “chickadee-dee-dee” sounds, oh, magnificent
inspiring humankind with varied notes as pleasant present
the chickadee praises the Lord along environment’s license!
