Chevy Vega

The Chevy Vega is something I won’t miss. No other car in Detroit was built like this. Off the dealer’s lot or out of the showroom, the sound of the running engine was a harbinger of doom. Upkeep and maintenance busted my financial bubble. It always seemed to develop some kind of trouble. This was the kind of car leaving many owners pissed. It was usually crossed off on car buyers’ lists.

Robert, this poem gave me a good giggle. I remember when we were teenagers, fixing up our "beaters", and all the money a friend of mine poured into a Chevy Vega! What a walk down memory lane, but that's the wonderful thing about words, they have the power to take us there! X Peace, Ruby
