Chef In Dilemma

he goes to kitchen
with knife in hand ready to do the job
hungry mouths waiting

“do not cut me
use be as I am”, says onions
he gets tomato down on its ribs
“no please, not ready now
leave me alone”, tomato shouted

gets meat on tray
“me to be cut?
Don’t you see the bull in me?
come on for a good battle”

gets and egg
“let me go inside my mother
you hungry man”

with nothing to cut
only excuses and threats
he reported to his mistress
hungry and yawning for breakfast
“this mad chef!
how can non-human things talk?
are you surely normal?
I fire you
Vamoose…now”, mistress shouted
