Cheers To the Poet
I know that poetry
is not everyone's bag
(dime or nickle);
and its taste
makes many gag;
and the labor
intense as it must be
certainly not for those
who lag –
but for the poet
while most often
not his bread-and-butter
he senses God, somehow
a complicit Brother
closer His heart
and Spirit Divine
