I love this parade through your past. Your recall is amazing and it truly sounds like the quint essential girl growing up in the midwest youth. Loved it. So enjoyed.

These are so original, Andrea. None of the others give us this perspective of the things we saw and experienced while growing up. "Herman's Hermits" was my favorite band and I saw them perform three times! Congratulations on your well-deserved win! Love, Carolyn

Horizontal snapshots of childhood days, stored away for future reference! Girlie things I can understand but not relate to...others I experienced myself, though in different places and situations. Regards // paul

Youth flies away. In the Jewish prayer book it calls life "The Dream that flies away". Nice recollection of youth in this work. But in some ways it is better to be older. Good luck in the contest. I have entered some contests recently myself.

Nancy Drew Books - yes, my aunt had the whole series, and she would loan them to me one at a time. Rainbows over Iowa cornfields - absolutely! Troll dolls - I still collect them. Grandma's house at the end of the lane. YES! YES! YES! You have brought my childhood back with your childhood, Andrea. Thank you!
