Chapter 77-- Damian Delilah Mallory: the Hakim Family --Members

7 am morning time. Damian was 
Awakened by his father's phone
Call. "Damian get out of bed, on
Your feet man. We have to attend 
A conference at 10 this morning."
Damian responded, "Right" and
Sprang to his feet. He noticed 
Delilah still sleeping. He caressed 
Her cheek then headed for the
Shower. Thinking of the 
Conference ahead, he knew
That it would be a Hakim family 
Conference. Damian showered
Had a small breakfast and left
His mansion at 8:10 morning.
When Damian arrived at his
Parents place his father came
To the door immediately. They
Initiated the secret hand shake.
Damian stepped inside he walked 
Into the family room. Where he
Saw all of his brothers seated
At a circular table. Carter Junior 
Samuel Adonis Franky-Joe 
Jackson Sidney Kyon Julius and
Crysteph. Damian's 
Father uttered, "Come sit Damian 
I want you all to know issues 
Concerning our family."
 
"First we will
Be attending this meeting in a
Temple 4.5 miles away from the
 groundbreaking 
Of the new temple. The temple
Is immense enough to 
Accommodate as many as 400
Hakim family members."
"The nine judges will be separate 
My father and a few others
Members will have Skype 

Now I have to tell of our origins.
The our family the Hakims migrated from
The middle east. Actually Egypt Africa
to Trinidad and
Part of the Virgin Islands."
The brothers were attentive no
Coughs or clearing of . throat
No bathroom breaks. Father 
Hakim watched the clock on the
Wall clapped his hands and said,
"Family Let's be about this."
He reported, "Fellows we will be
Meeting other Hakim family we
Do not know. We'll discuss family 
Fortunes and activities, family 
Sizes etcetera etcetera and feel
Free to add to those discussions.
CJ asked, "what is the duration
Of this conference?"  Father 
Hakim said, "3 hours, is there
Some where else you need to be?"
"There'll be roughly 300 to 355 
Family members attending. 
Everybody has to report on their
Families lives, dealings, incidents 
Accidents births deaths etcetera."
But our mortality rate is low."

We have one hour before the 
Meeting begins so let's be early 
Franky said, "Come on make 
Haste already."  Damian said,
"Let's be quick about This family."
On their way to the conference 
They stopped at the construction 
Site of the new temple. "The 
Projected completion date is 3
To 4 years. Hopefully it'll move
Along on a quite quick quest or
Even quantum leaping curiously 
Into the future."  Carter Hakim 
Beamed proud of the Hakim
Dynasty.  Damian noticed most
Of the foundation of the Temple 
Was already built. The building 
Seemed immense. Damian 
Asked, "what will be the height 
Once it's finished.  The father 
Said, "3 stories."
Father Hakim said, "Well we 
Spent enough time here Let's 
Get there." 
Julius said, "Yeah, we have a 
Particular promising purpose
Presumably to promote priority 
Family potential."
Damian knocked on the partition..
The car started forward.
It was 15 more minutes before 
They arrived. This building was
Also a good size.  With tinted 
Glass doors. Straight ahead there
Was a balcony overlooking a 
Huge amphitheater on both sides
Of the balcony there was double 
Doors. Already a number of 
Hakim members were seated.
Damian noticed a colossal 
Seal of Solomon on the ceiling 
Surrounded by numerous light
Fixtures. The walls were decorated 
With family portraits. 
Father Hakim followed Damian's 
Gaze and said "the ancestors."
  Damian Responded, "I see."
Skype screens also
Projected from the walls. As time
Progressed the members
 Spoke of family,
Rules, transgressions and 
tolerance. The judges spoke of
Laws and codes that were 
Instituted. Skype was operated 
For involvement of family that
Weren't physically present.
One law was stated that a youngster
Was considered a grown-up at
Age 22 young men and women 
Alike.  And the parent had to
Provide for the child until that
Time.  Damian smiled at his
Grandfather Dashim's image on a
Skype screen. As time passed 
The lights became brighter
Giving the Solomon's seal on the ceiling 
A brilliant glow.  The meeting 
Would soon be over.  Damian's 
Father said, "afterwards we'll join
In different rooms to talk about 
Family events and future 
Investments properties Marriages 
Births etcetera etcetera."
Carter Hakim informed his sons
"We have family members 
Representing from all branches 
Of the Hakim family nation."
Father Hakim reminded Damian 
"Be sure to bring Damian Junior 
With us next time. These conferences 
Are every 3 months."
Damian watched the judges 
Searching for those familiar
3 that visited him a few months
Passed time. He located them
All seated beside one another. He
Acknowledged them with a nod
Then he approached, "he cordially 
Addressed Ezekiel Amadeus Hakim 
He asked, "the family on these
Screens...they're from different parts
Of the country?" The judge said,
"Yes, and from different parts of the 
World. But most of us are from
The east coast of America."
They read each of the 12 laws
And stated there were no changes
To the laws. The entire assembly 
Was given copies for their families.
15 more minutes slid by, the final
Minutes had come. It was time
To leave. His father tapped his
Shoulder "We're leaving now
Damian."  They made a path 
Through the family members 
To reach the exit. Damian was
Deeply relieved to be outside.
