Chapter 60 -- Damian Delilah Mallory: the Family Seventeen X

During the days before the 
Vacation began FIRST: there
was a thunderous knock on
The door of Damian Hakim's 
Residence. Damian Junior ran
To answer the door.  But
Damian was disturbed in his
den by the omenous knock.
Damian asked "who is it?" With 
His bellowing voice.  But the
Voice from the Other side was
Even more bearish "HAKIM
FAMILY!" Damian Junior looked 
At his father and Damian gave
The nod. DJ slowly opened the 
door. There were 3 men 
Standing in front of them.
One of the men Introduced 
himself stepping 
Beyond the threshold, "My 
Name is Judge 
Malik Valus Hakim."
The next man entered and
Introduced himself as Judge
Ezekiel Amadeus Hakim."
Damian caught his breath.
The last man entered. Judge
Hezekiah Emanuel Hakim. All
Dwarfing Damian with full
Length black trench coats.
Each were Damian's height
Or taller.

 Standing before
Damian were 3 Hakim men
Of distinction, he had never
Met but they were the judges 
In the family. Legends often 
Spoken of. And Damian had
Heard of their legacy on
occasion.
But to meet them, this was
A major magnificent  Majestic 
occurance. Damian had to
Regain himself, "Well, come into
My study."  He lead them into
The library.  Judge Malik Hakim
Spoke first "we're here in the
Flesh to speak to you about a
Project."
One of the men closed the door
To the study. Damian asked 
"How can I help you? Judge
Ezekiel said we are going to
Erect a temple." These
Judges possessed a presence 
That totally impressed Damian 
And would impress any that
They would surely meet in
The coming months of the
Temple construction. They had
To break ground and hire
Builders. This is major.  They
Also wanted to buy an extreme 
Assortment of stock. Much of
It was family stock. Some of
Their companies went public
On the stock market. 
Hezekiah said
"We'll be breaking 
Ground for the temple near
Here."   "Well actually it be 
Closer to downtown." Malik 
Corrected.  "Can we expect 
Your contribution?"  Judge
Malik asked. Damian didn't 
Answer. The Judge slowly 
growled. "Hakiiim". Damian 
Shook himself, and 
Narrowed his eyes "how much
Of a contribution?"  "Anything 
You can afford we presently
Have architects working on
The blue prints." Lastly to 
Damian's dizzying desperate 
Relief the 2 hour meeting had
Come to a close.  Throughout 
The duration of the meeting 
Neither man bothered to sit
Down or ask for anything,
Water food. Nothing. they came
And went out not relieving 
Themselves of coats, they held
Their hats in their hands.
Damian returned to his den
And called his father. "Hey, 
Glad to hear your voice Dad Aah
I had some visitors today. 
Hakim men. Dad, they were 
Judges."  "Did they visit you
Too?"  "Yes they did Damian. I
Hope you weren't caught off
Your guard." His father 
Inquired.  "Yeah, I'm embarrassed 
To admit I was not expecting 
Such powerful looking Hakim in
My house. And after all they
We're judges."  "Don't feel
Threatened Damian." 
"Naw, Dad I don't feel threatened 
But they showed up with out
Calling, no invitation. I didn't 
Know them.  So how are they
Related to us?" Damian was 
Intrigued by the imposing
Hakim strangers. They're my
Father's nephews and they are
Members of the Hakim Councilors.
"Yeah, I get them Dad, they don't 
Smile joke laugh or dress like
Ordinary men. Hey, They 
might as Well be Men In Black."
"By the way Dad,  I'll be on a
7 day vacation a few days
From now with my children and 
Their mothers. We're going to 
Trinidad."  "YEAH,  Haa, ha! All
Of them, everybody including 
The youngest. We'll manage 
Dad."  SEVENTEEN HAKIM!
His father asked "Damian, if you
Can, visit your grandfather."  
"Okay, if time allows, but we're 
Bringing all of the kids too. So
That'll be sort of problematic."

"Ok Dad catch you later."
Carter Hakim called Damian back 
Within an hour and said, 
"Damian this  New temple the
Ground breaking will happen the
Week after you return from your
Vacation."
"They want us both
There.  And they have at
Present time contacted most
Heads of Hakim families to
Include them as well.  So....
This is a big project, it's a big
Occurance son."  
"Yeaah, Dad." Damian said.  
His father continued, "Damian 
The Hakim family are talking. 
Important purchases. Ownership 
These projects cost.  
Multimillion dollar purchases.
Damian asked, "Can we afford 
All of it?" His Father bolstered 
"TOGETHER! OF COURSE WE
CAN! and you're included."
Alright? and you're going to have 
To begin to attend the 
Conferences alright?" The 
Hakim family we're loyal to each
Other. "Alright Dad." They hung
Up.
