Chapter 46 -- Damian Delilah Mallory: Twins the Ten

Date:  September   2036

September finally came. Dolly 
Was in Labor but she stated 
That she would deliver her
Babies at home. Damian Tried 
Gentle discouragement. "Naw,
Babe we will be patients at
Magnum Medical Hospital 
Center. We ain't gonna discuss 
This any further, understand?"
She said, "yes" such a tiny
Utter he barely heard the word.
He sped toward the Hospital 
Breaking a few traffic laws
On the way. When she was
Admitted the contractions 
Were closer Together. Molly 
And the rest of the Hakims 
Straggled in consecutively.
Mother Daughtry and her sisters
Were also there an hour after 
everyone else. Delilah's  room
Was overflowing with family.
Damian thought it was to
Crowded so he ushered most
Everyone into the waiting room.
Molly Mother Daughtry remained 
With Mother Hakim and one
Of her sisters. Dolly had been in 
Labor for almost three hours 
When the Doctor examined her 
And gave her pain medications.
They at last wheeled her into
The labor and delivery room.
Molly was concerned, "how
Are you Feeling Lila?"  She said
"I'm scared Molly. If something's 
Wrong.... Damian intruded 
"Don't think that, nothing's 
Gonna be wrong. Delilah we
Have to remain optimistic no
Matter."  She started having 
Contractions. The doctors 
Checked the babies progress.
They began instructing her to
Push. "Ok Mrs.Hakim every 
Thing is going accordingly just
Follow the instructions."Push,
Push, And relax Mrs. Hakim
Your doing Fine." She started 
Feeling some pain. "Damian,
I'm in pain and I not having any
More Damians damn it." Dolly
Cried out. "Molly what do you
Remember? Was it this bad for
You? How long did your labor
Last? The Doctor instructed 
Push Delilah. Push. The doctor 
Check her cervical area. "Yes
One Baby is coming through.
We have one Baby boy on his
Way Mrs. Hakim."  You're 
Young and healthy this should 
Be a good delivery. Another 
Doctor instructed her to push
And bear down. Molly Patted
Her sweat as the two mothers
Rubbed her back one on each 
Side while Damian stood at
The foot of the table, vision 
Ready. He was soon to be the
Father of ten. He was Thinking.
How could he stop? Could 
The two Women stop? Just
Then Delilah had a strong 
Contraction. Damian put his
Hand on Her belly and felt the
Baby move. Delilah cried again.
Push again Mrs. Hakim. Push.
Dolly was just about 
Exhausted. But the Doctor said
"I can see his head now. Your
Baby is crowning now!"
"What's his name?" Another 
Doctor wanted to know. 
Damian proudly bellowed 
His name is Damian Shadir!
And his brother in there is
Damian Matthias!"  The Doctor 
Further instructed continuous 
Pushing. So Dolly Continued.
The doctor said 
ok, team. We have
Both the head an shoulders.
Damian said, "come on baby
Shadir is almost here. Damian 
Shadir. With his brother Damian 
Matthias makes ten. My big
Family. Hakim!!"  Everybody 
Heard Damian's voice even 
Beyond the doors. The Doctor's 
Instructed Delilah to push more.
Then they heard 
little Damian Shadir
Cry. Dolly screamed, let me see
Him!! The Doctor held the baby
Up for her to see.  He placed
The child on the nursing area.
Then he said Delilah we're 
Prepared for baby number two.
This should be easier now. 
Delilah said "Yeah, I feel him
Moving."  "Okay" that's a good
Sign." At the end of the day
Delilah stayed in Labor for
8 hours without much 
Complications. Matthias and 
Shadir were taken away for
Test and exams. The Doctors
Said the last twin held the
Placenta in his hand,  speaking 
Among themselves. After her
Torturous 8 hour twin birth
Dolly was wheeled back to her
Room grougey with extra pain
Medication.  The babies were 
Examined and given a slew of
Test including Blood test. The
Family spent the night with 
Dolly and her identical twin boys.
The family ambushed Damian.
So what are their names? Come
Now, tell it! Brother." his sister
Manisha said. "Okay, alright 
Calm down Nishi."  Damian 
Held one Baby and said his
Name. Is Damian...Matthias 
He brought the baby back to
Delilah and held the other and
Came forward again saying,
"His brother here is Shadir.
Damian Shadir.... Hakim!! The
Parents And babies stayed in
The hospital for 2 days before
Being Discharged.  Damian's 
Family waited at home anxiously 
Anticipating The newest 
Additions to the family.
