Chaos

obscure thoughts
   invade my mind
 causing fragmented
 images to form into
a whirlwind of chaos

I’m late to the party. Congrats on POTD. I am fortunate to mostly sleep well but on occasion have had my own tornadoes interrupt my slumber. I feel bad for my sweetie whom is regularly afflicted. I hope your chaos dissipates and a calm spirit comes over you. Blessings Rick.

"Fragmented thoughts invade my mind" Causing... "A whirlwind of chaos" Sometimes, moments are out of control and we cannot do anything about it. When this happens, it is best to unscramble such thoughts and find the positive in there somewhere. Congratulations Alexis, on Poem of the Day. Hugs, Brandy

Alexis, this describes the status of my mind almost every day! I love your imagery and the swirl of words you use, and easy to relate to, especially during covid when so many of the things we have come to take for granted have been tossed into a chaotic state. Big congratulations for your POTD honors, my friend. Enjoy your day! ~ John

I like the Dichotomy here Alexis, for indeed a whirlwind seems chaotic, yet still retains its overall shape, a bit like our minds, congratulations on potd, cheers David
