Changing of the Guard

The now tired sun casts a crimson glow
Upon the distant shore as it retires
Allowing itself to rest in slumber
And be stronger for the new day

Its companion moon now captures
The earth in an ambient glow
Of ritual nighttime affection
As it kisses the earth hello

The transfer of guardianship
As demonstrated by these orbs
Exhibits magnificence of the creator
As it shows power and love for us all

Awesome, Michael, as I sit here and watch the sun setting off the deck and o'er the mountains, this is truly a perfect write. Well done! Love Kristin
