Phyllis Babcock Poet Free verse

Changes

Pinpointing the very moment
your rose coloured glasses came off
and the curtain opened
a terrifying moment
seeing evil working in plain sight
bringing in the digital age
the climate change cage
all the sweet lies
with deceit and corruption
the truth may be painful
but a foundation to move forward
we ride on the back of history
we want wars and hunger to end
we  want warm houses and food to eat
we  have some hope 
in all that is messed
can be fixed soon
that truth overcomes lies.
