Yesterday it was clever for me to take responsibility
Admittedly it was a total effort of futility
I believed you and the world at large
Would be much better off if I were in charge
If people would change I would be happy
I tried and I tried until I was totally wacky
Today I'm a little bit wiser and can see
People will be who they are - it's not up to me
If I think I know what others should do
It's time for a change in myself and not you.
