Champagne Crescent

My pearl heart rests in the chiffon sands of forsaken memories, like an open oyster shell, engrossed in saffron-streaked serenades, while embracing. shifting shades of an apricot-feathered sunset, the sky sings for your magnolia magic~ unraveling clapping rays of glittery pompoms celebrating the rising of champagne crescent. There, I find secret keys to the golden g a t e s of your soul. I gaze beyond the sparkling crest of the honeyed horizon, as cantaloupe lines of waning gloaming~ slowly tip-toe towards the whistling waves, ferrying Poseidon’s souvenirs draped in sapphire strings, like scattered sea-shells singing songs to rippling runes of cosmic love. And this poem shall remain within porcelain pages; mermaid memoir of a mystical romance untold.

Your metaphors and their usage are gorgeous. "chiffon sand of forsaken memories, apricot feathered sunset, rippling runes of cosmic love"..... wow, wonderful. You have escorted us to a magical land of beauty and enchantment. The concluding lines, "And this poem shall remain within porcelain pages; mermaid memoir of a mystical romance untold." It surely gives a hint of a romance, you wish to keep a secret. Like most of your other poems, this too is an emotional journey into the hidden coves of the mind and the emotions that sprout there.

Dearest Ink Empress, What a captivating poem of color and emotion that reflects deeply within my core The scenes are breathtaking, from the "chiffon sands" to the "apricot-feathered sunset". Each verse evokes a sense of longing, beauty, and the bittersweet nature of unfulfilled love. The metaphor of the "pearl heart" resting in forsaken memories is especially interesting, suggesting a hidden treasure waiting to be unearthed. Your poetic words create a picture of a world both fantastical and deeply personal. IE, the poem feels like a secret shared, a glimpse into a hidden realm of emotion. I loved experiencing such an evocative and beautiful poem. - Blessings, Daniel
