Cessation

Dwell oh hermit, in the vast, formless void,
seeking nothing, animating the heart,
whence no longer by wispy thoughts decoyed,
invoking grace, feel bliss ignition start.

The first thing we cognise is boundless space,
noticed not since our eye searches for form
but if steps toward heaven we’d retrace,
we must be receptive to love’s touch warm.

Lost in a dream world of our own making,
we no longer know that we’re living light,
so spend most of our life in fear quaking,
blocking God’s grace that ushers bliss delight.

Ceasing to react if we be but still,
easy then becomes soul’s ascent uphill.

Dear seeker, Its been a while since iv last read something from you and i must say i absolutely love the way youv written this sonnet, you do rhymes so well. Theres so many lines here that i absolutely love especially " Lost in a dream world of our own making, we no longer know that we’re living light," it is because of lines such as this that remind me that we are the light and love that we seek and long for , and so much more is why i absolutely love reading your poems and also writing for your contests! Sending you light today and always

Thank you, IE dear. All that stands between recognition of our Self as living light and our cognition … is the thought cloud. Ego exists because of thought. Thoughts arise owing to identification with form … so if we choose, we can opt for thought cessation and simply remain present as awareness self-aware.
