Celestial Masterpiece
How many times
did I try
to paint you, my love?
Alas, my colours
were not enough
to paint the unknown
labyrinthine art ~
of your paradigm.
So I fly~
on memory's wings
above each passing cloud
as gossamer of light
chases the crimson sunset.
And there~
with my rainbow-dipped fingers
I gently carve your portrait
until a celestial masterpiece
envelops the saffron sky.
