Cecil B. De Martian

As two Martian brothers went out to play They argued as to what it would be today Flipping a coin the younger boy won “I know just what would be a lot of fun. Let’s play like we are spacemen from Earth And we’ll make a movie to show we were here first And let’s pretend that I win the Spaceman award” “Hold on you droid, if I’m on board, You will never win the spaceman of the year award” “I will so. Honestly I get so bored. I win the toss and you fuss” “But, You haven’t the love of humanity for it, you woos” Cranking up the old rusty government reject garbage can, The imaginary thrusters coughed, and man, did they begin to rise. . “I don’t need to love no stinking humans to win no prize. Get off of my Space Ship, alright” “Well, slow it down dude, I can’t jump off at the speed of light” Apr 28 2010 For Matt’s “Poems to Movies” contest
