I like how you decided to describe what was behind the water and made that just as important as the falls itself. Congratulations on your placement in the contest!

Congratulations, Martin, on placing Raul’s picture inspired contest with this very excellent haiku. It amazed me at how many great and different haiku were inspired by such a lovely picture. Creativity shines. Smiles, DAS-J

Raul's contest has inspired some amazing writes and this is an outstanding entry for the competition. Indeed, it takes "eons of drips" for the stalactites to form. There are caves in North Florida where they explain the history of the stalactite formations. You describe them beautifully! Love, Carolyn

Excellent Haiku, Martin, with a pacing reminicent of those drips creating the mineral deposits. Good luck on Raul's contest! Warm regards, John.
