Notes About The Poem

Unseeking Seeker / Our Claim to Fame

Cause, Regard and Meaning

Pain’s shaped effects pass thru joy’s sieved prep
to map my spirits journey of primary urge to me.
With confidence of honest feel comes the promise
that I am a spiritual being having a human life.

Individuality and authenticity themes, I long sensed,
as two needs to pursue for my eternal accord.
My emotions in every scenario are where I go
to willingly absorb all feel to best aid my soul.
Down, up and sideways my fragile has laid
until the granting of a new emotional day.
Should I ignore challenges and pain,
I would deny my spirit its depth to claim.

With gratitude I roll in blessings and joy,
give thanks for every uplifting mood.
At the start of my memories as feel-kept
is my Father, God, love-strengthening my steps.
God is my cause, regard and my meaning,
but not so religion with its pointed shards.
My faith is one on one in its honed stays
and nature the church I deeply savor.

Living true to the uniqueness of my layers
is reason my Maker gave me distinct flavors.
To witness truth principles in now moments
is my greatest sweetness in earth business.

Thought provoking CayCay, so many religions but only one God yet they all have their own interpretations of how things should be.

I bless and appreciate everyone's individual journey be it religious or spiritual, the only people I fail to appreciate are those who don't ever tap into themselves. That's judging, but I'm human. There were 2 slots in the contest when I began this write, none when I finished but thanks to you and some others, I feel I didn't write the poem in vane. All the best ... CayCay

Like you, I feel a strong connection to God, but not religion. While religions start wars, God brings us peace. I like the way you allow yourself to feel everything - happiness and pain. If we avoid the pain, it festers within us. You have such a pleasant writing style, Cay Cay! Best wishes in the contest. Hugs, Carolyn

Oh, sweet Carolyn - I did not make the contest! 2 slots were open when I began writing, none when I sought to enter. Thank you for your uplifting words of encouragement and please know that lately I have 'sucked' in terms of reading others - not enough clock! Yes, war in the name of God is a horrendous oxymoron that I believe no longer fools most people. Best wishes in all things ... CayCay
