Cause and Effect

From the girl: Mother used to always say "All men are the same" Whether you want, whether you may They will always make you play their game And then I met him But then I asked him: Why do you stand by the the river's bank While the waves take me far away Won't you mind and throw me that plank? Is it too much to ask that you help and stay? Won't you hold me tight, love and don't let go When faced with a choice It seemed all your promises were just for show You let the tears run and my cheeks get moist Over and over, I would still choose you Again and again, you choose to hurt me Was anything you said ever true? You, you have messed up my reality I hope you hurt forever Peace may you never find From the boy: You misunderstand my actions I don't mean to make you cry Already, you have taken me as one without conscience So why should I try Then he said: I don't wish you bad I only wish you see yourself The way He sees you I only wish you see the beauty I see I only wish you see the wonderful person The whole world sees you as What we have, we give I wish you nothing but self love That you may one day give.
