Caught In a Nightmare

CAUGHT IN A NIGHTMARE

Go out for a good time,
when caught in a nightmare.
Gun shots, hysteria,
around you …every where.

This is world’s new normal,
tho not supposed to be.
This in America,
home of the brave … and free.

Free all right free of peace,
from Eden far removed,
Everyone thinks they’re right,
see what this … has proved.

“Far as depends on you
be peaceable,” been taught. *
I’m neutral; Peace Maker,
will you do … as you ought?

Yes! It seems that big egos rule the day. Divided at war with one another instead of working together to solve the problems. Wonderful write here, dear Barbara. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! Thanks for your kind words. Being neutral in world affairs is not popular. But Bible say's, "be no part of the world." Thanks again, so much for visiting. I'm gonna go visit you my friend.

We are so far removed from Eden my friend, I am always praying that most of us become more aware of our roll in the world and do better, its getting worse and we are getting more cautious, that is not the way God intended it for us, thank you for your awareness and your caring poem, Much love, Vie

Vie, 2Tim. 3:16 describes our last days, as if reading news report. You are so right, God did not. intend us to live this way. Prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes. He will soon step in as Ps 37, mentions and destroy the wicked. Reply

Hi Barbara...you mention below, your style, love it! as thoughts arrive, you disperse to rhythmic ink...often employed meself...stanza 3 my fave, perfect...I do carry a pepper spray in my glove box, as carjackings are up over 100% in my town, tho, honestly, if I would be of calm enough mind to operate under stress, questionable! good poem! james
