I love cats, but birds better. i live in a flat and cannot have a cat to chase my zebra finch around. Thanks for reminding me that cats do lurk about looking for a free meal. Thanks also for your comments, and yes despite the gloomy out look on life, with all it's troble and strife. i will not allow circumstances and people to steall my peace and joy. i keep happy on purpose.

I've actually seen this happen, Sara. Luckily for the birds, they seem faster than the cat. He has to look elsewhere for a snack. Very nice! Carolyn

Well observed, Sara, I have no cat as a pet, but being always visited by our neighbour's cat "Fritz", a black tom-cat who drinks some milk which I give him. From my balcony he observes the birsd in the nearby lilac tree, but will never have a free meal. Nice Haiku and thanks for your comment. Love, Gert
