Careful What You Wish For

Doing as I please, now that's a wish, a wish that most people have, a wish, you have, when everyone wants your time and makes you mad. But, time goes by, folks disappear, and you miss those hectic days when children, husband, mothers grasped and wouldn’t let you play. Days go by, weeks and months too of doing just as you please and now you remember fondly having to do for all of these. Just, a week again to do as I please Ah, I know what I do……….. I cook and clean and sew for my son Or a special man or two! I’d feed the cat, I lost last month I’d not deny his petting! I’d brush his fur and hug him tight And not sit here regretting. No trip to Rome, or Greece or Egypt would I value more than seeing my whole family waiting for me at the door.

No regrets! The secret is to always nuture yourself first. Self, relationship, children. Then everyone is stable and no regrets. I cannot wait for peace and calm, oceans of time and an empty nest.

yes I absolutely agree and so does my wife...I like all your stuff Deb, although I don't often get much time to actually comment...schoolteaching is a time consuming occupation........ I am very pleased that you would like to chat about Russia or any topic...why dont I send you my email address which allows more scope than this little dialog box?.....Just reply to it and we can discuss Russia etc till the cows come home I'm at..... joelmcrae@gmail.com

This is very very nice, Deb. But as for me, I prefer THESE days to all the bustle of raising a family. The empty nest and being a weekend granny suits me great!! Luv, Andrea

Yes, we all desire to have a day or so to do exactly what we want to do...Well, I decided to put that on my calendar..Every week I was going to take part of a day for mine..Well, the first day came and all bedlum broke lose and I only had a couple of hours for myself in that I had made an appointment for me that I told everyone that I could not get out of...One day I am getting up dress and leave and not come back until dark for I don't like the dark by myself.Glad that you wrote this one.Sara
