Captured Divine Fulfillment
Beholding the painting of Jesus Christ’s resurrection
I find myself reliving a glorious occurrence in history
--- captured divine fulfillment ---
Prophesied and recorded in the Holy Scriptures
Magnificently mysterious; mightily miraculous:
The Saviour Who was crucified is seen alive again.
With great compassion, the Messiah sacrificed Himself
Dying to pay humans’ transgressions
Yet rising to assure believers eternal life
--- captured divine fulfillment ---
Revealing grand victory over the grave
Upholding my spirit; insuring my faith's certainty.
On the third day according to the Gospel writers*
An empty tomb appeared midst amazed disciples
Proving the Lord’s immortality and power over death
--- captured divine fulfillment ---
Transcending earthly triumphant bliss
Indeed, God secures me within His ceaseless love.
*Matthew 28:6 “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.”
Mark 16:6 “Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen.”
Luke24:7 “The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.”
John20:9 “For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.”
