Darren White Poet Free verse

Captured

some moments are mindless
     insanity with twisted reality
he says
he says a lot
     leave pain behind
an endless word flow 
a whale's
fountain

his face mirrors mine

his finger swipes dark
dust, blows waves
into deep oceans
where I drown

     Hide in dreams
he says
     dream a bull to swim
     across the ocean
he says
     to the light that hides
     behind reality

I close my eyes
to dream
his way to mine
and reach my hand
through the bars,
touch his wings

his broken legs
dance
     leave dark behind
he sings
and far away
where fingertips can't reach
I am heard
