Cannot Let Christmas Tree Go Yet

It is June 7th. I am not willing to let Christmas go, Because it did not happen this last year. Not like it was supposed to. Not like it always does. A lingering family death changed everything. Do you suppose we can take down the tree? My husband dares to ask. I give him a look Of which I am not familiar. He knows not to ask again, for I am not ready yet….

My late sister died of cancer in 1998. She'd worked at the Christmas shop in TN for years and kept a Christmas tree up in her living year 'round. I don't see why you can't.

I think I can, and so far I have. One year we had our living evergreen wreath up until July when it suddenly and unexpectedly turned brown and fell apart.

just keep it up, no sense taking it down when you are halfway through the year. And I totally get this poem. We had a really bad Xmas two years ago. My heart was so hurt, I did not even send my usual Xmas note with my cards. I fear that Xmases may never be the same again because of what the puppet masters have in store for us.

It is crazy what is happening. Will 2020 ever be over? I hope so.

23 more days 'til Christmas in July! You're all set (except for the presents, I guess). ~ Santa

I have already figured out no presents. Presence is the only present we need now.
