Can We Only Fly In Dreams

Watch with wonder

IT is encompassing you all of the time

Acknowledge your passion
And bask in its beauty

Free the child inside
And watch for butterflies at your feet

Grip the grass between your toes
While knowing that the earth won't let you go

Twirl round and round
We are water, we are fluid

Bring the stars back
To the cloudy night above

Can we only fly in dreams?

No Ashley, LOL We can fly in planes, helicopters, hot air balloons, blimps, hand-gliders, and etc. (I hope you don't mind my silliness. I am that way sometimes. You can tell I enjoyed your poem.) One more thought: Even though we can fly in all of those things, flying in one's dreams is the most wonderful! I like your poem. Keep writing! Lovingly, Dane

This is beautiful, and quite true, we could all benefit from having a little bit of that childhood wonder back... ~Katie
