Calm
Calmness is what my soul yearns for,
waves gently kissing sandy shore,
raindrops caressing roses' blooms
breeze ruffling leaves as if to groom.
Hints of honeysuckle's worn vine,
breathing its fragrance, so divine.
Wildflower patches make me smile,
lilacs and pinks--so brief a while.
Creeks trickling over mossy stones,
to join a stream, its path unknown.
Walking in forest, fragrant pines,
one with nature, feeling sublime.
To read a poem causing tears;
lovely music snuggling my ears.
To wake from a magical dream,
finding calm--both icing and cream
