10/18/2023 A California autumn, so warm, so good. Such peace in our smiling, neighborhood. Jazz music of Dave Brubeck fills the air. A hungry cat comes, nestling on our stair. Fresh, dark green, crispy salad, is our delight. Oranges squeezed, making juice so delightfully bright! We wash our hands and recite our traditional blessing. Afterward, a dip in our pool, is a sure thing, not a guessing. Come on down, let’s have some ecstatic, poetic fun. You can ride your speed bike or perhaps, take a fast run. My orange tree is taller and still in full, glorious bloom, Lush, verdant leaves, prevent one from having an ounce gloom!

87,yes, next week temperatures will begin to fall, Aww, this was not a picture I took, so, sorry, go not know if those are mimosas, I know you like SoCal. .Remember, I did live there when Elena was small. I liked Santa Monica, Beverly Hills! I had fun there missed my friends and had supportive relationships. After a few months, I longed for my friends in the Midwest, so we left CA. After a few yeats,we were a Back, in SF,LOL.that’s a lot of driving, 4 times! Never again, I was exhausted. Living here, changed my life,Ayana. Pangie.

Love Brubeck! And other jazz greats, I used to go to Union Street in SF, long ago when it was safe and hear live jazz each Sunday,those were special days. Sara~ once you could go anywhere in CA. No more.my entire family and I live in a small town dedicated to family, primarily! the variety of flora and fauna is stunning.Downtown is a most welcome spot! San Francisco, to be avoided like the plague. it’s 89 outside here but will start chilling out next week.this as an outstanding place to call “home”. Great to see you! Pangie xx

Good food and tons of agriculture.CA known wine country but I do not drink. My city is relatively small.but a pleasure to live in. One can drive to Lake Tahoe to ski in winter. No snow here. Mediterranean climate year round. Pangie xx

Seriously, California at its finest. You have really captured it for me, very much as I've always pictured it... Does it exist anymore? Outside of Palm Springs? No matter! It's always with you. Perpetual resurrection. Wonder-bar!

Very much so…it exists!the Central Valley is gorgeous. I wrote about CA in other poems. Friendliness and smiles are hallmarks where I live.it’s beautiful year round. Not at all a big city. My other fav about being here? The trees are never bare. Pangie xx
