Cakes Are Kind of 'Out' These Days

Have you noticed that cakes are kind of 'out' these days?
Oh sure, there are birthday cakes, wedding cakes, and
anniversary cakes. Of course there are. But what about
cakes just for the heck of it? Are people buying those
anymore? If not, that's sort of the end of an era, isn't it?

Although I guess I've forgotten about one cake that folks
never seem to tire of, and that's the underappreciated
breakfast treat, which could be eaten for lunch and for
dinner too, truth be told -- the low-profile 'pancake'
~ with syrup or jam of course

Pancakes are my hubby's favorite, he even makes homemade strawberry syrup to put on them!

Yes, pancakes are still a 'hot item.' ~ Gershon

Holy cupcakes, Robin, you may be right!...although I though that the word 'to' in your comment was extraneous. LOL. Cheers, Gershon

Gershon, I see you do not live at our house. We love cake, and I eat a Sara Lee Coconut cake about every other week; I cannot get enough of that one. Now that you mention it, the only cakes I see any more are birthday cupcakes among the masses.

OK...I guess I don't live at your house, where you don't need an occasion to eat some coconut cake! Sounds like a great idea to me. Say hi to Sara for me... ~ gw
