By the Seashore
Listening to the soothing ocean, I
Watch the waves crash the shore like a mad guy;
My happy heart gives a contented sigh,
God's been good to me through ups and downs, aye!
Troubles stifling me like a tight necktie,
All cast out when the sea like Lorelei*
Called out to me, "Come down here, don't be shy",
I feel like a mermaid, a charming fae**,
Or maybe a sea-loving Samurai.
