By the Pomp
Lets get personal
the people portrayed
in the verse
are real
but the actors are imaginary
The words i uttered
to my bride to be
as embarrassed by the pomp
she floated towards me
You smell
and before the frown had crowned
Beautiful
and in that single smile
happiness was born
