Butterfly Wishes
How I wish I was a Butterfly
My home among the fragrant flowers
The colors of my wings
Blending perfectly with the runway of oranges, purples and blues
My best friend the honey bee
Buzzing pleasantly in my ear all the day long
I listen to him without saying a word
We make a perfect pair
My tiny lungs filled with the summer air so sweet
This perfect life
Floating above the earth
My feet rarely touching the ground
The harmony of Mother Nature singing in my veins
I flap my wings without ever missing a beat
So happy
So content
I wake suddenly as I fall back to earth
My vibrant wings melt away into my dreamscape
As reality crashes through my consciousness
A thought chases the last of my dream away
Oh, how I wish I was a butterfly
