Butter Love

What adds the best taste to some kinds of food?
It’s useful and so flavorful to me.
Not many foods I think from it I'd exclude.
Boring without it, some things would be!
For years, maybe eons, butter has been used.
Taste-wise, I’d say it rarely gets abused.

So butter me up like a buttercup – with love,
for butter has a taste I’ll never grow tired of.
Simmer veggies in it. Spread it all over bread.
I eat it on popcorn. I’m better-butter-fed!

Reason A. Poteet June 26, 2025 at 6:23 PM Congratulations! Clever is right, Andrea. Love butter too; my problem is I want to add a "bit" of jelly or honey to the butter and bread and I overdo it. When I was in college and we went "out to eat", restaurants always served butter and crackers before the meal - Western Ky University.
