Like shooting stars, they pierce the dark, inking the sky with bursts of light. As oohs and ahhs fuel each spark, like shooting stars, they pierce the dark. this was really nice, Emile. If it had used iambic meter, it could have been in top three! Congrats in my contest.

Thanks Andrea, I must confess that the understanding of " iambic meter" or any other meters for that fact, continues to elude me. How to emphasize certain syllables to create a desired rhythm is beyond my poor brains capabilities. I blame the fact that I had to learn English when I started school in Ontario, when I only spoke French till the age of five in New Brunswick. Emile.
