Bursting Into Paradise

I try to still my heart for fear it will thunder past the gates of mortal life and burst into paradise… I slow my ragged breath as I tremble in time my body in tune to this rhythmic rhyme immersed in the sublime Eyelids flutter…. struggling to open, to see… Yet I shut them tight knowing I might faint at the sight of the wanton delight in your eyes! No…. there's no reprieve…. Seared on the inner screen is that look that shattered my secure serenity into a million shards of desire and set them on fire the blaze now reaches higher licking at my very soul Combusting again and again Unchecked…. Untamed….. out of control….. Ahhhh…. I…still my heart I try to....b~r~e~a~t~h~e I writhe, and I seethe not wanting ever to be freed from this need the truth is born in my moan as I lose every thought except….for....this….one …what is soon to come... when the universe's fully undone ...will only come to be... because of the kind of man that you are to me Jade Celest

Hard to beat that opening stanza, Eileen, it's edgy, beautiful, and in your face. It has YOU written all over it. Wonderful romantic poem!

Becca....Soup isn't Soup without you. You've been here for a lonf time and your work is of a high caliber. Thanks, Charmaine. I'm glad I was able to write again. It took some doing. I've become a little rusty, but at least I wrote something. Thanks for the visit.
