Notes About The Poem

Burnished Love

How do we define a love without dimension,
One that refuses to be restrained in any space?
We only know that it exists for us now,
in this time, and in this place.

How is it possible to fall so fast and so deep
into the emotional depth of each others soul?
When we are together and merge into one,
we unite two halves to make us whole.

There are no limits to a love such as ours,
or of two hearts that now beat as one.
Describing it would be more difficult by far,
than to explain the daily rising of the sun.

Fuse the light of all celestial bodies above,
it could never transcend our burnished love.
