Burnham Lake

The weeping willows Surrounding the lake, With curtain-like branches Sheltering lovers, Are like a shroud Hiding a mystery Only those who ever loved Could truly fathom. The placid water Awakens gently When a wooden swan Passes by. The parted waves Remix but they’re not The same as they had been: Like my heart when you came Into my life-- And later left. *Burnham Lake is the most prominent feature of Burnham Park in Baguio City, Philippines, named after the American architect Daniel Burnham, who designed the city during the American occupation of the country.

Good day in the Lord... I'm delighted to read this, and much more joyous to see you post again. I'm a true-blooded Igorota from Benguet, so I know Burnham Lake so well. I just visited Baguio (since I'm now in my mission-field here in Laguna). God bless you.

Hello, Ma'am. Yeah, I wasn't able to write anything for one year. Got so busy with school work here in Baguio. Glad to know you had been here. God bless!
