Bunnies Welcome Spring

As a kid I had three bunnies,
they were free I paid no moneys.
It was Easter time,
I had won them and they were all mine.
I had to decorate eggs,
some were painted with heads.
I entered eggs and the total was three,
when I won three bunnies I thought I was going to pee.
My mom almost died,
but she gave us all a ride.
Home to tell my dad,
he was very glad.

My dear friend, your poem evokes a sense of innocence and joy associated with childhood memories, particularly those intertwined with Easter festivities. The simplicity of the language and the rhyming scheme contribute to the playful tone, reflecting the excitement and wonderment experienced by the young speaker upon winning three bunnies.

Paula I loved your three Bunnies story. Its fresh and sweet, and totally unique. To me the most important thing in writing for people's pleasure is to create something that no one else has created. Something they are reading for the first time. Your poem is exactly that and it will be remembered. Well done and Happy Easter when it rolls around this year dear Paula. From Wen

Dear Paula, Bunnies brings back the heartwarming memories of childhood innocence and Easter traditions. The simple, conversational style captures the excitement of winning the three bunnies and the funny chaos that followed. The image of you about to "pee" from excitement is genuinely amusing, while details like mom almost dying (of laughter, hopefully) and dad being "very glad" add to the delightful picture. It's a nostalgic and endearing poem that evokes a sense of family and springtime joy. - Blessings, Daniel
