Buck Toothed Chuck

Here comes Buck Toothed Chuck from Hickville Street, Sorriest feller you ever did meet. Walkin' his flea bitten dog down the street, Scratchin' his head and flip flopping his feet. If he asks for money best say, "No way"! 'Cuz it'll slip through his fingers in less than a day. He'll be spittin' tobackee the whole day through, 'Cuz he ain't got nothin' better to do. There goes Buck Toothed Chuck from Hickville Street, Hasn't had a bath in over a week, Best steer clear cuz' the smell ain't sweet, Sorriest feller you ever did meet. Written in October, 2014

Laura: Thank you for not using my real name and how did you know about my dog. In the past you've called yourself "amateur". Remember: that's a reference term about money, not talent. I have published 2 books and write like an amateur. I'd rather be your kind of amateur than mine. :o) oldbuck

G'day Laura... I really enjoyed reading your poem Laura and imagined it being recited in a slow Southern drawl. Regards - Lindsay

Sounds like an old folk song, Laura. Just needs a refrain and a tune! Well done! Cheers, Roy

Thanks, Greg! It came to me last night in the middle of a dream. I've got a goofy side that annoys some, but not others!
