Broken Promise

A broken promise
Opens the door
The shade has lifted
You're hiding no more.

You both vowed to carry
Both gave your sign
Many hearts you have broken
And one of them mine.

I thought I knew you
You're not who I thought
You changed the words
Real love can't be bought.

A broken promise
A broken vow
Someday I may forgive you
But I just can't right now.

I don't blame you; forgiveness takes time to set in, even if we try hard to do so. Congrats on your win. // paul
