Broken Neon Ii

I walk at a quick pace... For I fear their black eyes. It quickens my blood. My heart takes flight. As shattered neon explodes into the sky Sparks rain in, glass tinkles into the silence. The only thing I hear is the Pounding of blood in my Ears. Like distant thunder in cotton A sound that can not be Forgotten. Flash of lighting... Faces loom out of the Voids Gloom. Twisted in the torment of the Unknown. Light dances, sparks fall like stars. Across the moon Odd orbs are full of Black Eyes and Screaming Mouths. How Strange they are Their mouths are shown Shut. With red twine and black tears weep Screaming within Skin for Some unnameable sin. Then I hear the thunder roll It echoes off steel and glass In Towers of a Great City... I watch department stores Vacant windows cast Flickering light onto Rain Swept streets. A chill runs my spine. The wind carries winter and It's not far behind. I wrap my coat tight around Me. And try to keep the Faces From my Mind. I turn into the sharp Icy Wind. I have miles to go before I Can sleep. And miles to go before I can scream. Forever I fight to keep the Faces from my mind. Nothing works... And A chill runs my spine. I wander on... POP Buzzzzzzz Tick. hummmmmmmmmmmmm Neon dies... and The faces remain floating in the rising gloom...
